The Irish Bugle

Manifesto

“There's a storm hanging over Irish media.”

The truth — once lit by independent voices — is flickering beneath the weight of corporate control. Foreign-owned giants shape our headlines from boardrooms far from our shores. Safe stories. Careful language. Journalism that flatters power instead of challenging it.

We believe Ireland deserves more.

The Irish Bugle was created to be a different kind of news outlet — fiercely independent, openly adversarial, and driven by conscience, not commerce. We don't exist to comfort the powerful or repeat official lines. We exist to question them. To chase stories others won't. To speak up when silence is easier.

Journalism That Bites

This is journalism that bites — not out of cynicism, but out of duty. Power left unchallenged doesn't stay neutral. It tilts, hoards, and protects itself. Our job is to tilt things back — toward truth, toward fairness, toward ordinary people whose stories are too often buried.

Reader Powered

The Irish Bugle is powered by its readers — not by wealthy backers. You shape what we cover. You bring us stories that need light. You help us stay free. We keep our reporting open and accessible because knowledge should never be gated by income.

We don't just report what was said — we ask why it was said, who benefits, and what's being left out.

Yes, we investigate. Yes, we expose. But we also ask: what can be done differently? What's a better way forward? This is journalism with teeth — and with a purpose.

Ireland is changing fast. Our media must change too.

Let's build something better — together.

Ownership & Transparency

The Irish Bugle is built and maintained by Consult Qualia Limited (CRO Number: 760053), a tech and strategy company owned by technologist and designer Mahendra Indukuri.
